Nomination packets have been submitted by the public. From dozens of nominations received, a field of final nominees were chosen in four categories.  Nominees were then put to a vote by current Hall Of Fame members, as well as media and industry members and the National BMX Hall Of Fame Class of 2011 is now final.

Join us September 29th, in Chula Vista for the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony.  This year, we are honored to induct a broad-spectrum of BMX legends.  Four people who broke new ground in the sport, and reached new heights in their respective fields with each effort.

The Hall Of Fame reception, dinner, silent auction, and the opportunity to meet and greet Hall Of Fame members, past, present and future.

The Location

This year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony brings an exciting new location; one where inductees will be within walking distance to the very wall where their plaques will hang for eternity. The National BMX Hall Of Fame and the USOC have worked together to bring this year’s event closer to home - at the Olympic Training Center, site of the National BMX Hall of Fame Museum.  The event will be held al fresco, under the US Olympic “Eternal Flame” as the San Diego sun sets down in the distance.  The museum will be open during the evening for first-timers to tour and trade stories of the Golden Age of BMX.  The stories from the inductees and their families - Atherton, Dominguez, Okawa and Purse, are sure to warm our hearts and inspire.

The Food

A plated dinner will be served featuring salad, entree and a dessert.  Vegetarian entrees can be arranged by prior request (send vegetarian requests to bmxhof@ababmx.com no later than September 19, 2011, and include the names of all those in your party who are requesting vegetarian entrees).

Ticket Pickup

All tickets for this event will be held at will-call at the event venue, for pickup immediately before the event.
